In brief

Re:Imagine began with a local mismatch: nature centers needed to remove invasive plants, while restaurants were throwing away food scraps. We explored whether those two waste streams could be combined into an eco-friendly herbicide—and built the partnerships, testing, and public-facing work needed to move the idea beyond a science project.

What I do

  1. 01Partnered with nature centers and restaurants to collect invasive biomass and food waste.
  2. 02Helped develop, test, and communicate the product concept across scientific and community audiences.
  3. 03Led outreach and fundraising that brought in more than $11,000 to continue the work.
